I'm Georgina Hartland, one of the three Conservative candidates standing in the Castle Bromwich by-election on 26 November 2026, alongside Martin McCarthy and Ethan Potter.
I was born in Solihull and have family connections across the north of the borough, including a great-aunt who lives in Castle Bromwich.
My background spans Economics and International Human Resource Management, alongside professional experience in care home compliance. Through my work, I've gained practical experience of identifying problems, reviewing standards and reporting concerns to management.
I've been out in Castle Bromwich listening to residents and learning more about the issues that matter to them, including through a crime survey to better understand local concerns and how safe people feel.
If elected, I'll continue listening to residents, scrutinising council decisions and pushing for practical improvements. My priorities include HMOs and planning, parking, protecting neighbourhood character, road safety, local transport and tackling antisocial behaviour.
