I'm Josh, and I'm standing in the by-election on the 15th October to represent our village on Flintshire County Council. I will always put the interests of Higher Kinnerton first. This is my home too.
I have lived in Higher Kinnerton for seven years, and it's a place I'm proud to call home. It's a fantastic village with a strong community spirit, but we need to make sure we have a strong voice representing us at County Hall - someone who will stand up for residents and make sure our village gets the attention it deserves.
I'm committed to our community. I am trustee of the village hall, and I serve on the community council, a voluntary role, where I have never been afraid to speak up for residents or question decisions when I believe they are not in the best interests of our community. In my day job, I work in our NHS.
I believe Higher Kinnerton needs a committed local voice to fight for our community. That means fixing the potholes in and around the village, fighting proposals for inappropriate development on green spaces, and improving our bus service, with evening and Sunday services. It means producing a community speed plan to make our village safer for children and older people, and sorting the drainage issues which leave parts of the village vulnerable to flooding. It means opposing continued council tax hikes, as I have done consistently on the community council, by targeting genuine waste.
